Since 2018, VOLA has been working on developing fluorine-free alternatives offering comparable performance. Our objective has been to minimize friction between the ski and the snow.

The waxes and paraffins known and used by VOLA for decades have been combined with a blend of additives providing a genuine performance improvement. These new formulations are the result of extensive research and studies conducted both in the laboratory and in the field.

Snow tests under all types of conditions were carried out in five countries to develop these new high-performance formulations. The resulting formula, which includes ceramic-based lubricants among other components, is not merely a substitute for former fluorinated waxes, but a genuine alternative offering a significant improvement in glide performance.
