Since 2018, VOLA has been working on developing fluorine-free alternatives offering comparable levels of performance. Our objective has been to minimize friction between the ski and the snow as much as possible.

The waxes and paraffins that VOLA has developed and used for decades have been combined with a blend of additives that delivers a genuine performance improvement. These new formulations are the result of extensive research and studies carried out both in the laboratory and in the field.

Snow tests under all types of conditions were conducted in five countries to develop these new high-performance formulations.

The resulting formula, which includes ceramic-based lubricants among other components, is not simply a substitute for former fluorinated waxes, but a genuine alternative offering a significant improvement in glide performance.
