Since 2018, VOLA has been working on developing fluorine-free alternatives offering comparable performance. Our objective has been to reduce friction between the ski and the snow as much as possible.

The waxes and paraffins that VOLA has known and used for decades have been combined with a blend of additives that provide a genuine improvement in performance. These new formulations are the result of extensive research and studies carried out both in the laboratory and in the field.

On-snow tests were conducted in all types of conditions across five countries to develop and refine these new high-performance formulations.

The formula developed, which includes ceramic-based lubricants among other components, is not simply a substitute for traditional fluorinated waxes, but a genuine alternative offering a significant improvement in glide performance.
